Make a Change, Make a difference

In the old days there was ´life time employment´, people stayed in one company till there pension and were happy to make it. These days there is already a lot more change……at least that is what we think. People change companies easier and are becoming more individualistic and think they make more changes. Actually…..they do not really change, they do the same daily trick at there old job and do not really make a difference. I did the test once myself, I was away for a year and didn´t read the news of my country. When I came back, nothing changed. People were still in their comfort zone and circle. It is not that they did not do anything with their lives from their point of view, they got a new car and other house or had this great new garden, but change……not really. It looks like they were on a hold for a year. I must admit I always say, if you are happy with your life enjoy it. Often they tell me that they are happy, but if you ask them really for there dreams, suddenly their hapiness changes. They still have dreams to make a difference in the world. Sometimes big, sometimes small but they do not make the change. It is fear for what other people say, scared for failure and maybe the drastic change. Unfortunately these great dreams go to waste and that is why I respect the people, like for eample mother Teresa, and Bill Gates, but more important the people who make that difference towards other people. Because that is what it is all about, making a difference! I give myself a little help from Richard Buckminster Fuller to emphasise what I mean and I hope that we all make a difference: “Never forget that you are one of a kind. Never forget that if there weren’t any need for you in all your uniqueness to be on this earth, you wouldn’t be here in the first place. And never forget, no matter how overwhelming life’s challenges and problems seem to be, that one person can make a difference in the world. In fact, it is always because of one person that all the changes that matter in the world come about. So be that one person. ”
